Spring/Summer 2026 Proves Simon Cracker Can Be Soft Without Losing The Edge

A brand built on deconstruction and disorder pulls things back.

Simon Cracker dropped a massive safety pin that feels like a metaphor for our world—chaotic, unstable, and in desperate need of holding things together. It’s part art piece, part emotional band-aid, and weirdly, we kind of need it.

For spring/summer 2026, the Milan-based upcycler known for turning chaos into couture takes a surprising turn. A brand built on deconstruction and disorder pulls things back. But don’t get it twisted, this isn’t minimalism; this is Simon Cracker minimalism: raw, restless, and filled with subtext. The collection lands softer than usual, both in palette and attitude; think whites, rope tones, ecrus, washed greys, and blacks—colours achieved through dyeing, bleaching, and hand-painting, which adds dimension to even the most neutral pieces.

The collection includes cropped blazers with elongated backs, pinstripe jackets fastened with oversized buttons, raw-hemmed sleeveless shirts stamped with care label graphics right on the chest, and A-line looks as if they were sliced mid-production, while pleated versions come draped with plaid overlays for that perfectly undone layering effect. Shorts turned up with a big knotted rope and another with an exaggerated zipper that feels closer to a statement object than a functional detail. Lace is delicately injected into shirts and dresses, softening the grit while reinforcing that high-low, punk-romantic tension the label does so well.

Some of the best pieces include an oversized, sleeveless coat smeared in what looks like hand-applied paint—almost childlike in execution but intentional—and then there's the white gown crafted from tulle, lace, and what appears to be satin, finished with a scatter of crystal embellishments. People may find this piece a little too much, but we believe it's perfect—looking at it, we felt joy and the love that Simon Cracker has for making clothes.
