ALEPH’s Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection begins with an ambitious premise: feminine beauty staged as a lunar landing. Under Alessandro Frigo, L’Alunissage de la Beauté avoids becoming a simple exercise in silver light and cosmic metaphor. Its real subject is visibility and the way a woman can command the image while still withholding parts of herself.

Frigo’s background, shaped by work around Jean Paul Gaultier, Roberto Cavalli, and Vionnet, is visible in his understanding of the body, but ALEPH is strongest when those references are pulled apart. An ivory single-breasted suit establishes the method through a long jacket, low fastening, and narrow trousers that preserve a clean vertical line, while the bare torso removes the tailoring from corporate routine. White does not soften the wearer but exposes every decision in the cut.

The blood-red dress takes a denser route through a folded neckline that encloses the shoulders before ruching twists across the torso, giving the columnar shape a physical charge. Burgundy absorbs the cold light and brings heat into a palette otherwise governed by black, ivory, blush, and metallic grey, while a silver cuff cuts through the color like hardware.

More convincing still is the pinstriped tunic worn over straight trousers. The stripes curve, converge, and shift direction across its panels, turning a masculine textile into a diagram of the body. Here, Frigo’s claim that decoration resides in construction becomes more than press-note theory. The surface holds interest because the pattern records the labor of assembly.

That principle continues in a pale pink wrapped blouse paired with wide black trousers. Generous sleeves and a plunging front carry the memory of screen-era glamour, while the high waistband and weighted trouser leg keep nostalgia from taking control. Elsewhere, a violet-flecked dress twists through the waist, made more guarded by opera gloves and pointed boots.

The collection reaches its clearest expression in a sheer black top tucked into deeply pleated trousers. The gauze moves between opacity and near disappearance, while the waistband fixes the look firmly to the body. 

ALEPH is sustained by its woman, who moves between tailoring, drape, exposure, and concealment without settling into one readable character. The clothes do not ask her to become mysterious. They recognize that complete access was never owed. That distinction gives Frigo’s lunar fantasy discipline and keeps it from dissolving into its own manufactured haze.
