Cettina Bucca’s Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection, titled Emotional Botanica, is a collection that deserves time. The Sicilian label, which grew from a made-to-measure atelier established in 2010, has long treated color and fabric as emotional material. Here, that vocabulary is drawn into a winter wardrobe shaped by memory, European cinema, and the practical demands of city life. The title proves apt, with botanical imagery appearing not as simple decoration but as a record of moods carried across the body.

The opening coat-dress, with its fitted torso and flared midi skirt, establishes the collection’s method by bringing structure to a turbulent floral print where red blooms cut through petrol blue, charcoal, and mauve. Without that construction, the motif could slip into simple prettiness. Instead, the dress turns the body into a moving canvas, balancing visual intensity with an exact silhouette.

The floor-length red jacquard robe carries that contrast between private emotion and public dress. Wide sleeves, a belted waist, and bare feet suggest the stillness of a woman photographed before leaving home. Botanical threads in green, blue, and gold catch the light, but the garment avoids slipping into boudoir fantasy because its columnar cut gives it weight.

An ivory wool coat, elongated and gently A-line, shows how much Bucca can achieve through proportion alone. Broad lapels, a loosely wrapped belt, and a trace of deep blue at the collar give the piece depth, while black lace-ups bring it back to the pavement. A sleeveless herringbone coat layered over burgundy extends that urban thread, using patch pockets, platform shoes, and workwear utility to ground a collection otherwise drawn to romance.

The floral shirt dress is softer, with navy and sand flowers appearing partially erased across a belted, pleated form. Then comes the cobalt velvet cape, the collection’s largest gesture. Its fur-framed neckline and trailing back recall old-screen grandeur, while wide trousers and masculine shoes keep the drama from slipping into period styling.

After jacquard, velvet, and painterly florals, a single expanse of saturated wool allows color, proportion, and fabric to carry the statement. Emotional Botanica works because Bucca never treats femininity as something delicate or passive. Her woman moves between galleries, winter streets, and private rooms dressed in volume, structure, and color. These clothes hold the emotional residue of the past, yet they are made for the pressures of contemporary life, preserving intimacy without withdrawing from the world.
