Pronounce Spring/Summer 2027: The New Rules Of Summer Tailoring

Marking the brand’s 10-year anniversary, Yushan Li and Jun Zhou looked forward, building a wardrobe for a man in transit, someone moving between office, city, holiday, and heatwave without wanting to change who he is.

For Spring/Summer 2027, Pronounce presented Tiny Voyager as a collection about movement, travel, and the changing rules of summer dressing. Marking the brand’s 10-year anniversary, Yushan Li and Jun Zhou looked forward, building a wardrobe for a man in transit, someone moving between office, city, holiday, and heatwave without wanting to change who he is.

The silhouette was elongated, fluid, and deliberately undone. Blazers fell past the hips, sleeves were rolled up, shirts were left open, and shorts sat high on the leg. The collection’s strongest idea was casualized tailoring, where suits no longer had to behave like corporate uniforms. A grey blazer worn with abbreviated navy shorts and a loosened tie became the clearest expression of that shift. It still has the spirit of classic menswear, but the styling broke it apart.

That sense of ease continued through the layering, with Pronounce’s summer focused on finding ways to make clothing feel lighter on the body. Organza, linen, wrinkle-resistant wool, and sheer fabrics created a wardrobe that could breathe without looking unfinished. Li and Zhou treated heat as a design problem, not a reason to simplify, showing how tailoring, sportswear, and workwear can be loosened, and lightened without losing their purpose, or dignity.

Transparency became one of the collection’s most important tools. Sheer blue trousers, hooded layers, and organza tailoring changed the behavior of familiar garments. A hoodie, usually protective, became exposed. A blazer, usually structured, became almost weightless. Trousers, usually practical, became vulnerable. Pronounce’s work felt most convincing when familiar pieces from a man’s wardrobe were kept intact but loosened through cut and transparency, making them feel less rigid and more exposed.

Pastel tones moved through peach, cream, pale green, powder blue, and pink, creating a summer language that felt easy and relaxed without becoming too sweet. A pink utility set, with large pockets and a straight trouser line, showed how workwear can be reworked through color. The shape remained practical, but the mood changed completely. Elsewhere, blue outer layers and silver shirts gave the collection a cooler, almost nocturnal quality, keeping the resort references rooted in the city.

There were also clear references to an east-meets-west sensibility, with vertical silhouettes, folded details, structured collars, and wrapped trousers suggesting Chinese garment traditions. The white wrapped trousers carried that idea especially well, almost sarong-like in construction, looking simple at first before the knot at the waist gave the outfit craft, movement, and intention.

By the end, Pronounce made a convincing argument for short shorts, sheer tailoring, and relaxed city dressing. Its strength came from proportion, fabric, and the way garments shifted between formality and escape. Tiny Voyager captured a brand entering its second decade that is still curious, still difficult to box in, and still finding new ways to make menswear feel lighter and freer.
