To kick off our Watches & Wonders 2024 content, we will begin with NOMOS Glashütte, the brand that opened our eyes to the watchmaking universe. Our journey with NOMOS began several years back at a memorable pop-up event hosted by Monards Australia, where we were first introduced to this iconic brand.

In case you are new to the watch world such as ourselves, NOMOS Glashütte is the largest manufacturer of mechanical timepieces in Germany founded by Roland Schwertner in 1990 at Glashütte. All of the brand’s watches are made by hand and they offer watches in stainless steel and 18K gold. In 2014, the brand succeeded in doing the impossible, the brand launched its escapement called the Swing System, giving them independence in movement production, and ensuring their commitment to maintaining fair and accessible pricing.

For this years, Watches & Wonders, NOMOS unveiled a collection of 31 exclusive variations of their iconic Tangente 38 Date, one for each day of the month. The Tangente 38 Date is a timeless classic. Its patented design is equipped with a robust sapphire crystal glass back, offering a window into the intricate craftsmanship within. Powered by the precise NOMOS caliber DUW 4101, each of these special editions features a unique array of elements on the dial, meticulously selected to complement the watch's individual character. Each special model is limited to just 175 pieces, giving watch aficionados the opportunity to own a truly exceptional timepiece.
