Bianchet UltraFino Rotondo Flying Tourbillon Debuts At Watches & Wonders 2026

The UltraFino Rotondo Flying Tourbillon by extends Bianchet's focus on proportional control and mechanical clarity through a circular case architecture that defines the watch in uninterrupted form.

Unveiled at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2026, the UltraFino Rotondo Flying Tourbillon by extends Bianchet's focus on proportional control and mechanical clarity through a circular case architecture that defines the watch in uninterrupted form. This geometry establishes a continuous frame for the movement, allowing the calibre to occupy the full visual field without segmentation between case, bezel, and mechanism, while positioning the watch within a broader system of integrated design thinking.

Movement Architecture

The openworked construction places the Calibre UR01 at the centre of the composition, with the flying tourbillon integrated directly into the structural layout rather than treated as a discrete focal point. Bridges are arranged to guide visual continuity across the movement, maintaining legibility through its layered construction while preserving an open and unobstructed reading of the mechanism as a whole.

Proportion And Geometry

Proportion is governed through a consistent internal logic informed by the Golden Ratio, defining the relationship between case dimensions and movement architecture. This proportional system extends across the entire structure, aligning each component within a shared framework that carries scale and volume seamlessly throughout the watch.

Case Materials Engineering

The case measures 8.9 millimetres in thickness and is rated to 100 metres of water resistance, with shock resistance reaching 5,000 Gs—specifications that support continuous daily wear despite its mechanical complexity. Two material executions define the model: Grade 5 titanium, selected for its structural stability and controlled surface finish, and high-density carbon, which introduces reduced mass and visual depth; both are chosen for their mechanical behaviour within the overall construction.

Bracelet Wearability Integration

The integrated bracelet continues the line of the case without visual interruption, extending the geometry into a unified form across the wrist. A secondary rubber strap is included as an alternative configuration, maintaining functional flexibility while remaining consistent with the watch’s overall design system.

Calibre Performance Details

Inside, the Calibre UR01 measures 3.85 millimetres in thickness and weighs under eight grams, yet incorporates 225 components and 29 jewels. The self-winding system is fully integrated into the movement architecture, with the rotor positioned within the internal structure to maintain compact volume control, while a suspended mainspring barrel supports a 60-hour power reserve and stable energy delivery.

Tourbillon Finishing Craft

The titanium flying tourbillon operates on a one-minute rotation cycle and is positioned within the central structure of the movement, contributing to both regulation and visual balance. Finishing is completed in La Chaux-de-Fonds, where more than thirty hours of hand bevelling define the edges of the architecture and refine the interaction between surfaces and light, completing the watch’s mechanical and aesthetic integration.

The UltraFino Rotondo Flying Tourbillon brings together case geometry, movement architecture, and material selection within a single, coherent framework, maintaining clarity of form and function throughout. Beyond its technical and design discipline, it also holds appeal as a considered long-term acquisition, where rarity, material integrity, and mechanical refinement contribute to value, aligning naturally with the expectations of a collector who values discretion, precision, and an assured expression of craftsmanship.
