Australian Designer, Justin Tong, Celebrates Lunar New Year With A Culture-Rich Third Collection
This collection is not only a celebration of culture but also Tong’s declaration as an unapologetically Asian designer within a Caucasian-dominated Australian designer landscape.

With just two days until Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year), Asian-Australian fashion designer Justin Tong marks the occasion with the release of a culture-rich third collection. Championing Vietnam’s cultural diversity, Tong’s Spring/Summer 24 collection, CELEBRATIONS, pays tribute to his birth country’s traditions and relationship with the holiday. With vivid application of floral motifs symbolising the Ochna Blossom of South Vietnam and Peach Blossom of North Vietnam, every garment in the 16-piece collection shares a yellow and pink colour palette. This collection is not only a celebration of culture but also Tong’s declaration as an unapologetically Asian designer within a Caucasian-dominated Australian designer landscape.
